The Dance Department of the Royal Conservatory
The Dance Department of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague offers an excellent professional basis for a dance career, intensive dance education on a daily schedule with Classical ballet, Creative and modern dance, Caractère dance, Pointes, Pas de deux and Variations. The dance education is integrated with general education in the form of Primary and Secondary School.
National Ballet Academy
The National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam produces classically-trained dancers whose technique, temperament and creativity equip them to perform independently at the larger ballet companies. The NBA provides instruction in the Vaganova Method. After completing the preliminary training described earlier, students enter a phase of higher professional training lasting three years.
Preliminary Dance Course
Classical ballet is a discipline which requires years of intensive training, which is why the The Preliminary Dance Course (Vooropleiding Dans) offers an eight to nine-year training for children aged ten years and upwards. The Preliminary Dance Course (VOD) prepares young dancers for a career in jazz/musical or modern dance. The NBA's preparatory training and the preparatory training for theatre dance together form the Theatre School's dance preliminary training.

Holland Symfonia
The Netherlands’ newest orchestra is made up of the combined forces of the Netherlands Ballet Orchestra and the North Holland Philharmonic Orchestra. Provocative concert programs and progressive educative projects are but two elements that typify this new orchestra’s approach. Holland Symfonia gives concerts in the Dutch provinces Noord- and Zuid-Holland. Additionally, the orchestra performs in theatres, accompanying Het Nationale Ballet, Introdans, the Nederlands Dans Theater and the Nationale Reisopera. Starting this season the English conductor Roy Goodman has been appointed as Holland Symfonia’s Chief Conductor.
